About the workshop

The workshop introduced the topic of the role of the individual in modern social, economical and ecological circumstances, and provided certain tools and methods for encouraging the individual to grasp his/her own position, in addition to assuming an active role in the processes of transformation.

Individuals, organizations, and creatives living in the late ’20s of the 21st century live and work in specific global and local circumstances.

When it comes to relationships – whether with their business partners, or with their audience or clients – organizations regularly come across continuous and rapid social and technological changes, which can often be very difficult to respond to, especially if standard methodologies of project work are employed. New circumstances demand new methods of coming up with programs, projects, services and products that can respond to the demands of the contemporary consumers and audiences.

This workshop offered insight into a number of modern methods and practices that are applied both in the processes of social innovation, as well as thinking about other forms of actions (business and project thinking). One of these methods is Design Thinking, distinctive for paying special attention to empowering individuals and teams, and encouraging them to assume an active role in the problem-solving process and challenges, as well as to respond to the demands of the users and the audience and  to create new demands that haven’t existed previously.

The Nelt company organizes the third cycle of the Nelt educational program tailored for college students, in cooperation with Nova Iskra and 12 Hub gallery. Within the third cycle of the NEP, 25 selected students will have the opportunity to improve their creativity and entrepreneurship skills, in addition to broadening their horizons in the domains of critical thinking, teamwork and project development. The participants will gain valuable experience through cooperation and learning, which this year comes under the slogan THINK FUTURE!
