First Nova Iskra webinar – Audience development

After successfully completed Audience Development course, intended for representatives of and cultural institutions and organizations, Nova Iskra represents its first webinar that was produced during the course, and consists of all six lectures.

This webinar is intended for all professionals in the field of culture who recognize that they are in need of further education in order to successfully operate, i.e. to review and improve their strategies in communicating with audience, both in terms of presenting their programs and in terms of continuous rejuvenation of audience, as well as maintaining the existing audience.

The course was held in November 2016, and was co-organized by Nova Iskra and Desk Creative Europe Serbia. Over 80 professionals applied to the open call, while the course was attended by about 60 participants. All lectures were held at Kolarac, who was also one of the partners in the project.

The aim of the course is to improve the practical knowledge and skills of representatives of organizations and institutions that are related to issues of audience development – in terms of presentation skills and the use of diverse communication tools, but also by reflecting on the communications approach for specific projects. The project contributes to strengthening the capacities and work improvements of cultural institutions through professionalization of employees in cultural institutions as well as professionals that work independently.

Six lectures were presented throughout the course: Nana Radenković (Nova Iskra), Relja Dereta, Slobodan Jovanović (Coba & Associates), Neda Šorak (Sunny Digital), Ljiljana Ilić (CPN) and Aleksandra Ninkovic Tašić (exhibition Pupin). Through this webinar, educational resources on the topic Audience Development will be permanently available to the public, as a valuable contribution to the professional development and education in the field of culture.

Audience development is one of the central topics of the Creative Europe program of the European Union, and therefore collaborates with Desk Creative Europe Serbia, and the project was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Serbia.
