Nova Iskra announces call for membership in the Designers Lab for 2015

From October this year, Nova Iskra works with extended capacities, and as every December since 2012 announces its call for Designers Lab membership within the space of Nova Iskra (Gavrila Principa 43 in Belgrade).
Designers Lab is a close network of Nova Iskra associates. Designers and creative professionals of various profiles, who are selected each December on the basis of an open call, have the opportunity to use Nova Iskra workspace based on privileged monthly membership fee in the amount of 100 EUR, and to share workspace with Nova Iskra management and other coworkers. Designers Lab is intended to support young creative people who are at the beginning of their careers, and are in need of professional workspace, exchange of experiences and meetings with potential clients and industry representatives. The standard monthly fee is 150 EUR.
For the second year in a row, Nova Iskra cooperates with ERSTE Bank, and together chooses one candidate for Designers Lab as an ERSTE Bank scholar, who will have the opportunity to use Nova Iskra capacities completely for free over the next 12 months. The selection of scholarship recipient will be based on the quality of the portfolio, with a focus on young authors. In 2014, Nova Iskra and ERSTE Bank scholar was the industrial designer Nenad Merzel, who took part in several important design engagements and Nova Iskra programs.
All Designers Lab members have the opportunity to use one of the 39 working stations at Nova Iskra, as well as all supporting facilities, premises and equipment necessary for their work – fast Wi-Fi, conference rooms, modeling room, tools, photo-corner and other equipment, including the design library, office supplies and kitchen. Nova Iskra also regularly presents educational programs in which members of the Designers Lab have the advantage of participation, while they can also get support in the form of consultations, contract templates, legal advice and other ways relevant for creative professionals. Nova Iskra workspace occupies an area of 450 m2 and is designed by a Belgrade-based studio Petokraka. It has so far provided excellent work conditions for more than 80 individuals, freelancers and members of smaller teams from the fields of design, architecture or IT. One hundred educational programs have been already held at Nova Iskra, while members of our Creative Hub and Designers Lab networks (more than 200 of them) took part in dozens of projects in the fields of graphic design, UX, web and industrial design, product development, architecture, branding and strategic communications that Nova Iskra implements for our clients. The total value of Nova Iskra projects during 2014 had a total of 70.000 EUR received by the young creative professionals for their work.

It is necessary to fill in the form and attach a professional CV, as well as portfolio of works.
