Nova Iskra visits the First Zagreb Design Week

In the last fifteen years, the format of “design week” has become a standard form of celebrating design worldwide. Croatia is one of a few developed European countries that still does not have their own design week. From April 23rd to 27th, Zagreb will host the first Zagreb Design Week (Tjedan dizajna Zagreb). The basis of the program consists of three well-known events in the field of design – the sixth Auto(r) conference (about car design), fourth edition of Sudnji dan (an independent festival of creative communications), and the fifth edition of Produkteka (a product design platform).

Through the synergy and cooperation with local and regional partner organizations and individuals, Croatian Association of Independent Professional (HDNP) will present the following Design Week Zagreb programs: Coworking & Design, Crowdfunding & Design, Peer-to-peer (P2P) workshops, as well as discussions on the needs and problems of freelancers, including ways of cooperation and association of independent professionals from the field of creative industries.

A special surprise program is the visit of our trademark event AKS ME ANYTHING.

AKS ME ANYTHING during #tdzg is organized by Nova Iskra, and supported by Coworking Croatia, Boonika and more than fourteen leading professionals from Croatia and the region. This will be the fourth, and by far the biggest issue of this specific format that Nova Iskra realizes quarterly in Belgrade.

The program will be held at #tdzg pop-up coworking zone, a joint office for all #tdzg visitors and guests, where everyone will be able to complete their daily tasks using free WiFi, electricity, desks and where a number of meetings and discussions of creative communities that cooperate with the initiative Coworking Croatia will be held.
