Regional coworking initiatives and Betahaus Sofia

Introducing, collaborations and networking of co-working initiatives from the regions of Balkan and SEE is in full gear!

Beside our regular collaborations with the Coworking Serbia organization, as well as first meetings in Ljubljana and Belgradse which we had with the representatives of Coworking Slovenia and Coworking Croatia crews, recently we had a chance to also visit two specific coworking spaces which are already operational - HUB Zagreb, as well as the famous Betahaus incarnation in Sofia.

Our Program Manager Relja Bobić had the pleasure to meet the team behind Betahaus in Sofia - first of all Angel Spasov (also the Betahaus Program Manager) – as well as their impressive space which spreads out over two floors and offers the capacity of around 70 workstations of different levels, accompanied by a cosy caffe, presentation room, 3D modeling space and meeting rooms.

On this occasion Relja gave a short interview for their Guest Member section of the website, and we also used the chance to set up the first mini collaboration between the two initiatives. The users of both coworking spaces will have a chance to use the partnering space for one day for free, in case they find themselves travelling through Belgrade or Sofia. The members who are interested in this options first need to announce their visit at their resident coworking space, who will then check the availability with the partnering institution. Capacity limits do apply.

We are looking forward to the future program-based collaborations with Betahaus (which currently runs spaces in Berlin, Sofia and Barcelona), and even more to the opening of new coworking outposts throughout our region!
