CreaConnect: First of 5 Hackathons – Wrapped in Florence!

Updates from the CreaConnect project: The first of five international hackathons is now behind us – and what a start it was! Held in Florence, this edition brought together creatives, researchers, designers, and cultural agents from across Europe to tackle one of the most urgent urban challenges: overtourism.

The teams, supported by local and international mentors, used methodologies like co-design and social design to come up with innovative and replicable solutions for cities suffering from the negative effects of mass tourism. Florence was a perfect example to start with – and we’re already excited about what’s next!

A huge thanks to Lama for hosting and curating such an inspiring and reflective space. 👏
