Katarina Živanović is a museologist and heritage specialist with extensive experience in both theoretical research and applied practice. Her professional interests focus on cultural management, critical museology, and community-based approaches.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous museums on the development of permanent exhibitions and strategic planning. She has also worked on the creation of cultural tourism products and the preparation of management plans for several UNESCO World Heritage sites across the region.
She actively promotes the role of cultural heritage in fostering dialogue and driving social change. Katarina believes that heritage has the power to strengthen communities and inspire creative approaches to contemporary challenges.
She is a member of Europa Nostra Serbia, an organization dedicated to safeguarding cultural heritage—particularly sites that are endangered, neglected, or not yet fully recognized. She is also involved in the Creative Mentorship platform, advocating for knowledge exchange and supporting young professionals in the cultural sector.
