About the workshop
Twelve mentors and thirteen mentees are taking part in the ten month long Preduzimanje program, designed to support women with their businesses in Serbia. Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to work on personal and professional development through individual monthly meetings with their mentor, while group workshops are aimed at improving their knowledge and skills. Workshops are held on topics of importance for business development such as marketing, finance, sales, etc. Lecturers are local and foreign experts from the business world, who, found themselves in the role of entrepreneurs.
The program was initiated with the aim to provide entrepreneurs with sustainable support, through individual work with mentors as well as in a group.
This is an important effort to provide women entrepreneurs in Serbia with a sustainable support system that will continuously be the backbone of their personal and professional development. The goal of the program is to create a community of female founders, who share their knowledge and experience selflessly and thus improve themselves and others. As the role of the entrepreneur is demanding and often lonely, we have created this program to show women that they have each other and that this is more than enough – said Milena Milic, project leader.
The program is supported by the Swiss Entrepreneurship Program, which has been working to improve startup ecosystems in 4 countries in the region for over 4 years: Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Albania, as well as Peru and Vietnam.
