From Rotterdam to Madrid: the next stop for Realities In Transition– Unwritten Worlds
On September 3 and 4, we joined the Realities in Transition – Unwritten Worlds project meeting in Rotterdam, hosted by V2_, Lab for the Unstable Media.
The meeting brought together partners from across the European project for two days of exchange, collaboration and a closer look at the first collective residency of the programme.
The residency brings together artists from different creative and technical backgrounds for six months of research, experimentation and co-creation. During Test_Lab, artists Mohsen Hazrati, Elli Koliniati and Iyo Bisseck presented a work-in-progress prototype of their collective XR installation Lambertian Dance (working title).
The work explores the relationship between bodies, virtual environments and the systems that shape them — inviting two people into a shared XR experience where their gestures become part of an evolving lineage of movement.
Now, halfway through the first residency, we’re already looking ahead to the next chapter.
Next stop: Madrid!
On September 17, L.E.V. Festival will host XR Camp at Matadero Madrid — bringing artists and professionals together to explore how immersive works are built, and to discuss accessibility, formats and the distribution of XR art.
