Nova Iskra at the European Lab conference in Lyon

This year’s European Lab conference, that will be held under the motto European Culture Refresh will be held from May 27th until May 30th at the Hotel de Ville in Lyon. Marko Radenković (General Manager of Nova Iskra) will take part in the panel dedicated to European creative incubators, together with organizations from France, Sweden, Great Britain and other countries. Among them will be representatives of European incubators such as Creatis, Medea, The Whisky Bond, Neulogy and A.M.I.
European Lab brings together the leading European and global experts in the fields of creative industries, art production, independent music business and cultural policies. The program runs in parallel with the music festival Nuit Sonores, which has in recent years grown into one of the leading events in France and beyond. The conference program is organized through a number of panels and lectures by prominent cultural operators, with some of the topics being Culture as a tool for new territorial dynamics, From smart city to smart citizen, The role of culture in the construction of cities of tomorrow and Culture within a changing media landscape.
Beside Nova Iskra’s representative Marko Radenković, there will be several more participants from Serbia, among them Jelena Nešić from Resonate Festival who will take part in panel Thoughts on cultural innovation: A focus on new European platforms, and Relja Bobić representing Dis-patch Collective.
Among prominent guests of the conference are the film director Michel Gondry, authors Bruce Sterling and Alain Damasio, as well as musicians Daniel Miller and Laurent Garnier, while this year’s Nuit Sonores festival program will present an exciting cross-section of the acclaimed artists of the global electronic scene – Kraftwerk with their 3D performance, Four Tet, Actress, Black Lips, Darkside,Efdemin, Kode 9, Rustie, Moritz Von Oswald, Earl Sweatshirt and many others.
Nuit Sonores will be held from May 28th until June 1st. Both the festival and the conference European Lab are organized by the Lyon-based production Arty Farty. Have a look at the intro video:
