Nova Iskra at the Skopje Creative Hubs conference

Nova Iskra was invited to present its organizational model and the process of initiation at the Creative Hub Conference in Skopje, Macedonia. The conference dedicated to constituting creative hubs and creative platforms was held at the Cinematheque of Macedonia on December 16^th. The event was organized by Plakart festival, Ministry of Culture of Republic of Macedonia and British Council Macedonia, and has featured distinguished actors of the European hub scene from Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria and the United Kingdom.

Some of the key topics included development of the creative sector influence the economy, business climate and environment, creative education in the career development and acceptance of the “digital era”. Presentations were held by LynseySmith of British Council, Gillian Easson from Creative Dundee, Meta Štular who is the project manager of RogLab in Ljubljana and Ljubo Georgiev who is heading the One Design Week in Plovdiv. Nova Iskra was represented by the Program Manager Relja Bobić and Aleksandra Savanović, our project development expert.

The presentations were followed by a workshop with representatives of local intiatives and other delegates.
