Nova Iskra functions as a coworking space and a platform for continuous education and networking of young professionals in the fields of creative industries and business since 2012. In the previous period, the coworking space of Nova Iskra was used by over 120 freelancers and members of different teams active in the field of design, web, IT, architecture and entrepreneurship (with 20 % of coworkers coming from outside of Serbia), while at the same time more than 150 free educational programs open for public were also held.
Nova Iskra coworking space can be used on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. Each member has his own workstation (including a desk, a chair, lamp, 24’’ screen, drawers…), fast wi-fi connection and the unlimited usage of common facilities (two conference rooms, kitchen, workshop, lounge, smoking area) and equipment (office and photo equipment). In 2016, several standing desks will also be installed, while we are also announcing the launch of Green Classroom, our spacious terrace that will be an urban garden as well as an open-air workspace and event area.
The total capacity of Nova Iskra is 49 coworkers, while the nominal monthly membership is 150 EUR. Each year, interested users can apply via the open call for the use of the coworking on the basis of the beneficiary price of 100 EUR per month, which makes the incentive of 600 EUR for the entire year. The open call is designed specifically for individuals who are looking for an inspiring and fully-equipped workspace, as well as for smaller teams who would like to grow within a platform that opens up opportunities for cooperation with other professionals and companies and as a good framework for professional development.

Nova Iskra was recently awarded the best coworking space in Serbia by Central European Startup Awards, and was in the competition for the best coworking space in Central and East Europe. During the last three years, Nova Iskra platform took the leading role in the field of continuous education of young professionals from the creative fields, as well as active participation in the creation of business opportunities and networking of professionals. The Creative Hub network of Nova Iskra has over 250 members, while half of them have already been involved in projects, programs, engagements and other activities of the platform.
Within the Nova Iskra educational programs a number of lectures, seminars and workshops were held, hosted by renowned lecturers from Serbia, the region and a number of other countries. In addition to the benefits of program participation and the opportunities to directly get in contact with the leading local experts and companies, the members of Nova Iskra have continuous consultancy support by the Nova Iskra team and the professionals with whom we collaborate, including legal and administrative counseling and other aspects of career and business development.
