Vladimir Stajić – Nova Iskra and ERSTE Bank scholar for 2015

Design incubator Nova Iskra announced its third annual call for the use of its multifunctional coworking space in December 2014, aimed at of Nova Iskra young designers and creative professionals from a wide range of design-related disciplines. For the second year in a row, a scholarship is available for a free 12-month membership in the Designers Lab. This collaboration with ERSTE Bank, the first local company that recognized this peculiar way of support to young creatives in Serbia, was established in 2013.

Members of Designers Lab have a chance to use one of the 39 working units within the workspace of Nova Iskra, as well as all other complimentary services such as fast wi-fi connection, conference room, craft modeling space, tools, photo booth and other equipment, design library, office materials and kitchen. Nova Iskra also holds regular education programs, in which DL members have the priority of participation, and also offers support in the form of consultations, administrative support, legal advice and advice in other fields relevant to professionals working in creative industries.

Young furniture and interior designer Vladimir Stajić will not have to cover his membership fee over the course of 2015, as he will be supported by ERSTE Bank which will be covering his membership costs. The representatives of this forward-looking company have selected Vladimir together with the team of Nova Iskra, among the best applications received this year.

Vladimir Stajić is an interior and furniture designer from Belgrade. He studied interior design at ALU in Belgrade. His work is characterized by simple forms with a clear function, as well as the application of sustainable design principles. His works in the field of furniture design were presented at all major regional design events (Mikser, Belgrade  Design Week, Belgrade Furniture Fair, Dan D in Zagreb, Skopje Design Week, Milan Design Week. He has won several awards and honors (Mikser 2011- award in category of sustainable design, Mikser 2012 – Young Balkan Designers award).
