Nova Iskra participated in the European Creative Industries Summit (ECIS) in Bilbao last month.
The summit was held under the slogan Decolonizing Innovation – Decolonizing the Mind, emphasizing the need for a critical reevaluation and reshaping of our perspectives, knowledge systems, and innovation approaches to promote inclusivity, diversity, and fair practices. By decolonizing our way of thinking and innovation processes, we can create a more inclusive and transformative future for all.
Additionally, the summit provided a platform to raise questions about how we use innovations, especially in the context of the transformation of our planet towards ecological, digital, and social changes. The importance of recognizing the value of traditional and local knowledge systems, heritage, and crafts in the green transition was highlighted.
