About the panel

Over the last 60 years, thousands of varieties of cereals, fruits, vegetables, animal breeds, breads and cheese have disappeared from our fields and plates. Participants will be invited to explore the online exhibition “What you didn’t know existed” featuring some of Slow Food’s Ark of Taste products.

A panel discussion will then explore the connections between food, agricultural, and cultural policies. The policy brief “Food is Culture” will be presented on the need for EU actions to protect intangible food heritage, along with concrete recommendations on how to better integrate agricultural and cultural strategies.

Together with representatives from the European Commission, Europa Nostra and Slow Food organizations, Ivan Manojlović, International Cooperation Manager at Nova Iskra will also take part in the discussion.

The applications for participants are available via the following link!

Food is Culture is a project funded by the European program Creative Europe, with the contribution of the Fondazione CRC. It is led by Slow Food with its partners Kinookus, Europa Nostra, Nova Iskra Creative Hub, Transpond.
