Practical advice provided by your mentor/manager and fellow colleagues, ready to help you anytime, will allow you to learn a lot and develop practical skills. Day-to-day tasks are practical, educational and focused on communication of projects and programs of Nova Iskra.

Previous work experience is not necessary, neither is experience in marketing. What we do hope to recognize in potential candidates are openness and desire to learn, as well as interest in digital marketing and communication. The tests submitted are used to help us gain a general impression about your skills and resourcefulness.

General description of activities and responsibilities: what will you learn during the internship?

• Collaboration in social media management for Nova Iskra, including accounts, groups, and different projects on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIN)

• Daily planning, generating, editing, and publishing content on websites and social media of Nova Iskra – in English and Serbian (with training and mentorship)

• Writing public announcements and communication with the media (with training and mentorship)

• Communication with followers and the interested in Nova Iskra and its social media activities, via email (with training)

• Creating and following a social media posting schedule (under training and mentorship)

• Doing daily research in the field you will be working in, as well as in the local and global eco-system of creative industries

• Collaboration in creating campaigns for social media and search engine advertising (with training and mentorship)

• Working in Google Analytics and similar tools (with training)

• Conducting email campaigns (with training)

• Working in WordPress and MODX platforms (with training)

• Creative content creation in form of text, photos, or videos

• Following latest trends in digital marketing and communications

• Collaboration with the manager/mentor and the entire team from Nova Iskra

We are looking for somebody who:

• Is familiar with business written communication

• Is great in English (written and spoken)

• Is an advanced user of MS Office

• Understands and takes interest in digital marketing

• Is an active social media user

• Has great written and verbal communication skills

• Is a creative thinker and thinks in terms of visual culture

• Has a responsible attitude toward work and business obligations

• Is an analytical thinker

• Has great grammar and spelling skills, both in Serbian and in English

• Enjoys teamwork, up-to-date and clear communication

• Wishes to begin or advance his/her professional affirmation

• Has great communication skills

• Respects deadlines

• Can commit to a three-month internship, 20 hours a week

Preferred, but not mandatory:

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other design softwares

• Familiarity with photo editing softwares

• Being up-to-date with digital marketing trends

• Creative writing skills (please send us examples if you have them)

• Being familiar with the structure and principle of functioning of web presentations and platforms
