Dejan Mitrović

London-based design entrepreneur from Belgrade, Serbia. After graduating from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London with an MA+MSc in Innovation Design Engineering, Dejan founded KIDE, which combines his greatest interests: design, education and working with children. KIDE is a system for primary schools which allows children to design and make their own toys using 3D printers. Dejan also tutors at the Royal College of Art (sustain.rca.ac.uk), Ravensbourne College and Imperial College London.

He is fluent in 5 languages. Dejan mostly enjoys applying his skills and knowledge for solving educational, social and environmental issues.

When asked “ If you were a product, what would you be?” Dejan answers: “A Swiss army knife”, an object that combines numerous high-quality utensils and tools that can even be life-saving. It has one main function (knife), like myself (designer) and many other excellent tools (skills), instead of being specialised for only one thing.
