Open call for participation in the project “Bricks made of Words”

In this new post-pandemic phase, with new winds of war and the risk for the new generations of a departure from European values, finally, it is at its starting line “Bricks Made of Words: building Europe again through dialogue”, a project co-founded by the Europe for Citizen Programme of the European Union and promoted by organization in different European countries: Arci Valdarno APS, Comune di Cavriglia and Agenfap (Italy), CONEXX-EU (Belgium), BRAVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Ofensiva Tineilor (Romania), and Nova Iskra (Serbia).

“Bricks Made of Words” is a project dedicated to young European citizens interested in sharing knowledge and perspectives about actual key themes relevant for their future as well as for the European Union’s future, aimed to foster the civic engagement of European youth. It will involve young participants from the age range of 18-24, coming from both international and local communities, engaging them in a multidimensional dialogue to connect them with EU history, values and future through visits to places of memory, gamification and structured debates, using virtual reality, Lego gaming and storytelling.

To achieve the objectives of the project, the involved organizations will select 28 youngsters (18-24 years old) from 7 different EU countries, according to their orientation, Eurosceptics or Eurosupporters,  towards EU policies related to the selected themes (EU bodies | civic rights and duties, EU values, Civil rights and media freedom, Migration and human rights, Youth policies) and will bring them together in 6 Events held in Italy, Republic of Serbia, Romania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Greece or Cyprus and Belgium. During the mobilities the young participants, through laboratories, workshops and study visits, will develop critical thinking on sensitive matters (environment, migration, youth employability, civil and human rights, and more), debating and exchanging their thoughts for finally developing a document containing all their ideas and recommendation to be presented in Brussels to the EU policymakers during the last event.
