Aleksandra Stratimirović

Aleksandra Stratimirović graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design in Belgrade and completed her studies in specialized lighting design at the University of Fine Arts and Crafts in Stockholm (Konstfack) and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. She works in the field of art, light and design. She has completed numerous temporary and permanent site-specific light/art installations for public places in Sweden, Serbia, Slovenia, the Netherlands and Singapore. She is founder and artistic director of the Belgrade Light festival and co-founder of the Lighting Guerilla festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Guest lecturer on many art schools in Stockholm, Beijing, Ljubljana.

Some of her projects are:
V.I.P. permanent light art installation in the yard of Heidenstam School in Uppsala.
The City permanent light art installation in the foyer of the County Administrative Court in Stockholm.
Tattby fågelby permanent art installation on the façade of the Ice-hockey training facility in Tattby, Stockholm.
Light sparkle permanent light art installation integrated in the ceiling of the radiation therapy room at Karolinska University Hospital.
She is currently working on two major projects in Sweden, Welcome Home outdoor light art installation for the Stockholms Hem client and light art for the new Radiation therapy Centre in the University Hospital in Lund.
